Marc Rosen and Susan Pinsky, principals of Marc Rosen Fine Art, have over 50 years of experience in the art world, and specialize in collections of works that have not previously been on the market.
After the death of Ambroise Vollard in 1939, all of the works on paper from his estate, including the entire edition of Picasso’s Suite Vollard, and the comprehensive collection of works that Mary Cassatt had sold to Vollard in the early years of the 20th century, were acquired by the distinguished French dealer, Henri M. Petiet.
Because of our long relationship with the Petiet family, we offer an extraordinary opportunity to acquire works from the original stock of Vollard, including previously uncirculated prints from both the regular and deluxe editions of the Suite Vollard, as well as over 100 works by Mary Cassatt. In addition, our stock with this provenance includes works by late 19th Century French artists, including Bonnard, Denis, Pissarro, Renoir, Signac and Vuillard, all in extraordinarily fresh, original condition.
